Thompson Electric Company formed a unique partnership with a local Orange City electrical contractor to complete the extensive electrical systems for the area's new 128,000 square foot, state-of-the-art medical facility.  This alliance benefited the hospital by combining our significant health center experience and financial backing, with the familiarity brought by working with neighbors.

A 3,000 Amp, 480 Volt service, along with an 800 KW back-up diesel generator, provide power to the hospital systems such as interior and exterior lighting, fire alarm, nurse-call, etc.  A highly efficient, low maintenance, flywheel-type UPS ensures that critical interruptions are avoided.  Many custom light fixtures were used throughout the hospital to create a comfortable healing environment, while maintaining the impression of natural light.
