When working with Hilton on one of their new Hilton Garden Inns, Thompson Electric developed a new formula that we believe separates us from our competitors even on common wiring systems in modern hotels. With extensive use of prefab, we were able to directly contribute to improved work schedules, temporary power, safety, and site cleanliness, all while still offering a competitive price.
Prefabricating most of the guest room wiring systems in our environmentally controlled prefab shop, enabled us to install raceway wire and devices with only a short amount of time actually spent on site. This allowed the job schedule to proceed with very little impact from the electrical construction. With the components pre-built, we were able to install the wire and devices earlier than is typical, so we had the capability to turn on permanent circuits, aiding the temporary power distribution. By prefabbing components off site, there was very little packaging or other waste left over. This helped to keep the job site more organized and less cluttered, and reduced the clean up time required. Safety was enhanced with the cleaner job site, and by the metal covers used in the prefab process.
The prefab process allows Thompson Electric Company to be an extraordinary contractor.
