Our Employees and Our Company, Supporting Our Community
Thompson Electric Company encourages our employees to be involved in community activities that improve the quality of life. We furnish both financial and personal support to community programs that will enrich the lives of its inhabitants.
This year’s “Boxers and Bras for a Cause” event was the largest yet, attracting more than 100 entries and more than 300 guests to enjoy a night of fun and fashion.
Each year, the June E. Nylen Cancer Center along with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, call on businesses and groups to design a fashionable pair of boxers or a bra, to raise money, fun and awareness for cancer screenings in Siouxland. The entries are put on display and modeled on the runway. Throughout the evening, guests place votes for their favorite designs.
Several employees of Thompson Electric Company got in to the spirit of the event and created a bra they titled, “Light the way to a cure.” The design won the evening’s “WOW” Award.
Congratulations and thank you to: Judy Grimsley, Holly Frerichs and Vicki Boyok!
